In general:

Once you have decided to book an appointment, please complete and return the forms available on the website at least 24 hours before the consultation / treatment where possible.

 

Why the therapist need to know about my health and medical conditions, cosmetic products I use?

Let’s start with that you might feel that you need to share too personal information. All the information shared with your beautician stays private and confidential; accordingly with the company's privacy policy. 

 

  • All the information helps the therapist select the right treatment to your needs; make sure safely can be carried out.

 

  • Allow to decide which products to be applied or can be applied, or the treatment can go ahead or to be postponed / not advised or need any modification.

 

There are some contra indications which required medical referral and prevent the service, such as any bacterial, viral, fungal, parasitic infections.

 

  • So if you feel you might have / or diagnosed by a doctor any of the above; please do not book any appointment as unable to offer  any services, until your GP confirms safe to do.

 

  • It might happen that at consultation the beautician identify any contra indication, where you will be advised to see your GP for proper diagnosis. Please consider the beautician can not set up a proper diagnosis, can not offer any medication to treat as do not qualified to do so.

  • If any swelling, inflammation, skin disease, skin disorder, cuts and abrasions showing around the eye area, or client has hypersensitive skin, eye disorder the service can not be carried out.

  • Positive allergic reaction to the patch test also prevents treatment processed.

  • You must be able to close your eyes as long as the treatment lasts.

Contra-actions might occur during or after the service; such  as :

  • Allergic reaction to product
  • Product entering into the eyes
  • Watery eyes
  • Smarting of the eyes following the treatment
  • Tingling sensation (normal in most of the cases; if burning, irritated and stinging might be caused by product entered  into the eyes)

 

What to do?

  • The therapist gently removes the product applied, then rinse the eyes with clean water; following with cold compress application where required.

 

  • If allergic reaction occurred, it is advised at home keep continue applying cold compresses, if required within the next 24 hours, soothing agent also can be applied onto the skin to reduce redness, irritation. The reaction should have gone within  24 hours.  If not recommended to seek medical advice from pharmacist or GP.

Lash and brow tint:​

 

Age restrictions: 16 or over as per product manufacturer's advices.

Patch test required  in line with manufacturer's instruction 48/72 hours prior the first application (new clients) as well as after long periods without tinting (existing clients).

How the patch test carried out?

A small amount of tint mixed with the oxidant; being applied to a small area on the inner bend of the elbow or wrist. Please allow to dry and leave uncovered for 48/72 hours, then clean thoroughly. If any irritation occurs, do let with your therapist however the therapist required to examine the patch test results on the appointment coming.

Product range: ReflectoCil

Aftercare Advices:

Make sure advices below are followed as best of yours, for the longer effect of the treatment.

1. Avoid oil based make up removers

2. Avoid rubbing and touching the eyes

3. Clear mascara, eyeliner enhancing the lashes more

4. With using an eyebrow pencil give more volume to thin eyebrows

5. It is advised to book treatments for lash tinting every 4-6 weeks.

Lash lift:

1. Do not get your lashes excessively wet

48 hours post treatment:

2. Avoid steam rooms, saunas, sunbeds

3. It is not advised to apply make-up 

Daily routine:

4. Washing your face with gentle care around your eyes, do not rub them and pat dry

5. Do not use waterproof mascara

6. Protect your lashes when you sleep

Keep your lashes maintained:

7. Book appointment every 6-8 weeks

​Brow lamination:

24 hours post treatment: 

1. Do not get your brows excessively wet

2. Facials and other face treatments should be avoided

48 hours post treatment:

3. Avoid steam rooms, saunas, sunbeds

4. It is not advised to apply make-up or self-tanning products

Daily routine:

5. Washing your face with gentle care around your brows, do not rub them and pat dry

6. Brush upwards your brows

Keep your brows maintained:

7. Book appointment every 4-6 weeks

Brows shape

(Tweezer or wax)

 

Possible contra-actions / what to do:

  • Erythema can occur, which is normal and goes down within couple of hours.
  • In case of severe erythema cold compress applied followed by antiseptic soothing agent.
  • In case of waxing, rarely bruise may occur; where cold compress to be applied. This will be fade with time, and won't cause long term damage to the skin.
  • In case of burns occur while waxing,  then clean, damp, cool flannel will be applied to the area and client should seek medical advices from pharmacy, GP. 
  • With waxing the area, it can happen that small areas of the skin removed. This is the uppermost layer of the skin. Cold compress to be applied onto the area, followed with a lint free dressing to avoid infections. Client should seek medical advices from pharmacy or GP.
  • Histamine response - waxing. Skin appear red, or red dots appears. It last for a few days, if lasts longer should seek medical advice. Application of cold compress to the area is recommended.
  • Ingrowing hairs

 

Aftercare

24 hours post brow shaping:

1. Avoid heat treatments (sauna, steam and hot tubs); UV exposure (sunbed, sunbathing); swimming; applying make-up to the area.

2. Apply soothing antiseptic cream in case if erythema.

Daily routine:

3. Groom the eyebrows daily into shape.

4. Use eyebrow pencil to enhance the shape, or add volume to thin eyebrows.

Keep your brows in good shape:

5. Book appointment  every 4-6 weeks depending on the hair growth

Henna brows

 

Age restrictions: 16 or above as per manufacturer's advices.

 

Patch test required 48 hours prior the first service, as well as every 6 months advised.

A small amount of henna paste being applied to a small area on the inner bend of the elbow or wrist. Please allow to dry and leave uncovered for 24 hours, then clean thoroughly. If any irritation occurs, do let with your therapist however the therapist required to examine the patch test results on the appointment coming.

 

Product range: International Henna Brows

 

Aftercare:

24 hours after the treatment:

Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight

Avoid to use sun-beds, saunas, steam-rooms and swimming pools

Avoid touching or rubbing the area

Should avoid to use fake tanning products on the face for 2 or 3 days after henna brows treatment

Frequent use of oil products on or near the brows might cause fade more quickly than otherwise would.

Book appointment every 3 - 6 weeks to maintain the desired look.

 

Strip lashes and Party Lashes

 

Strip lashes

  • Ideal for an evening out.

  • Lash adhesive used is latex free.

Party lashes

It lasts longer than strip lashes and recommended for more natural looking (bridal e.g.); to make sure they are not damaging the natural lashes, recommended to be removed by professional only. The lash clusters applied with a stronger glue than the strip lashes with, and clusters placed onto the top of natural lashes without isolation. 

If you would like a longer, continuous wear, recommended individual classic lasses, which still could give a natural looking also. (Classic lashes at present not an offered service with us)

Contra-actions might occur during or after the treatment immediately, such as:

  1. Watery eyes; adhesive or adhesive remover entering in the eye; which to be treated with eyebath.

  2. Contact dermatitis; if this occurs, the treatment to be stopped and cold compress applied to the affected area. Soothing lotion to be applied if necessary. To prevent the condition getting worst, the client should apply calamine or aloe vera to the area; in case of blisters occur advised applying cold water compresses for around 30 minutes, three times a day. For medical advice if might required please ask your pharmacist or GP.

Strip lash removal:

It can be removed carefully at home by client safely, instructions see below:

1. Support the eyelid at the outer corner with one hand, while peel the strip away from the lid, in direction from the outer corner to inner corner of your eye. You can apply oil-based make-up remover that helps to dissolve the glue, and prevent tearing out any of your natural lashes.

2. Peel off from the strip any adhesive left with a tweezer, rinse the strip with soapy water.

3. Once stirp clean and dried, if required establish the curl, then place into their original container until the next usage.

 

Party lash removal:

Not recommended to remove at home, however if unable to return for removal, advised to use oil-based make-up remover, that dissolves the glue, and clusters can be removed, do not force the clusters off, that could cause loosing your natural lashes, oil takes a wee time to dissolve the glue.

Aftercare:

1. Do not touch your eyes for approximately 2 hours - the adhesive needs to fully dry.

2. Do not rub your eyes, as that cause loosen the artificial lashes and could your natural lashes damaged as well.

3. Avoid to use oil based make-up removes, that dissolves the adhesive.

4. Avoid heat, as that could affect artificial lashes.

5. If party lashes applied do not try to remove it, return to the therapist for removal.

6. If you loose an eyelash, return to the therapist for replacement fitting.

Home care:

1. Apply mascara afterwards to blend the artificial lashes with your natural lashes.

2. For the more dramatic effect, apply thick liquid liner.
